Gorillaz played a very special one-off show for MTV Worldstage, with lots of incredible guest artists including bass guitar supremo, Thundercat, joining on “Cracker Island” and Bootie Brown on “New Gold”. Having wowed the Tonhalle and viewers at home with a static-infused, deconstructed, multi-screen performance, the band then walked away with the Best Alternative Award 2022…the perfect end to an amazing year for the world’s most notorious virtual band!
